Description:
Hedgerows composed mainly of native species, with on average at least five native woody species per 25 m length, excluding undershrubs such as [Rubus fruticosus] or climbers such as [Clematis vitalba] or [Hedera helix]. In western Europe, many such hedges are thought to be medieval in origin.
