Description:
Forests of strongly sub-Mediterranean character, dominated by subthermophilous oak species, such as [Quercus cerris], [Quercus frainetto], sometimes [Quercus petraea], [Quercus pseudocerris], characteristic of the supra-Mediterranean level of the southern part of the eastern Mediterranean peninsulas and of southern Asia Minor.
