Thermophilous [Carpinus orientalis]-dominated woods of the [Carpinion betuli illyricum] and [Fagion illyricum] regions of northern and central Bosnia-Herzegovina, where they occupy sunny calcareous slopes, and of the Sava-Drava interfluve hills, between the Papuk Range and the Fruska Gora.
