Description:

[Fagus moesiaca] forests of the Balkan Range, mostly developed on warm slopes or shallow soils in which the beech is accompanied by thermophilous trees or shrubs, often of Illyrian origin, such as [Corylus colurna], [Acer hyrcanum], [Fraxinus ornus], [Ostrya carpinifolia].
