Description:
Meso-eutrophic [Alnus glutinosa] swamp woods of marshy intramontane depressions and floodplains, at the 500-800 m level of foothills of the eastern Carpathian system, in particular, the Harghita and Baraolt mountains, with [Carex elongata], [Calamagrostis canescens], [Thelypteris palustris], [Carex caespitosa], [Dryopteris carthusiana], [Calla palustris] and [Ligularia sibirica], most of which may dominate facies of the herb layer.
