Description:

Free-floating microscopic plant (phytoplankton) and animal (zooplankton) organisms of very muddy, non-pellucid waters of standing eutrophic waters. Phytoplankton is represented mainly by algae of the groups Bacillariophyta and Chlorophyta, rarely also by Euglenophyta, Pyrrophyta, zooplankton by Cladocera, Copepoda and Rotatoria.
